Peter Bromby and Paula Lewin are playing catch-up today after the opening round of the Rolex Miami Olympic Class Regatta.
The Bermudian skippers, sailing in the Star and Yngling classes respectively, finished eighth and 11th in their races yesterday.
The pair, who will be flying the flag for Bermuda at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, are among a stellar field in Florida.
Bromby, who has crew Martin Siese for company, is the defending champion in his class. Lewin, meanwhile, is sailing with sister Peta and new addition to the ranks Christine Patton who replaced longtime crew member Carola Cooper.
Also at the regatta is Laser sailor Brett Wright. After one race in his class yesterday Wright lay in 25th position. Racing continues all week.
