?It?s all about teamwork?
Teamwork has been the hallmark of Bermuda?s success on tour of Toronto so far.
And with four straight wins under their belts, the Island team are on the verge of achieving one of their primary objectives ? being crowned champions of the Americas Region.
Defending champions and tournament hosts Canada have already relinquished the title following successive losses to Bermuda and Cayman Islands.
Bermuda only need to defeat 2002 Americas champions USA tomorrow at King?s City to claim the vacant crown, and also progress in the ICC World Cricket League.
Bermuda skipper Irving Romaine has now urged his team-mates to dig even deeper in their bid.
?Right now we are doing well and doing what we need to do, but now we have to dig even deeper and try and get the job done.
?The guys have responded great so far and every game has been a team effort. Today we nearly had another batsman (Stephen Outerbridge) score another century. Everybody is pulling their weight and working as a unit and if we can continue doing this then everything should work out fine,? Romaine said.
The skipper also singled out fast bowler George O?Brien jr who is beginning to receive reward for putting in some hard work in Toronto over the past two weeks.
?George is hungry and he has worked very hard. He even comes to me now to talk and he really wants the first delivery,? Romaine added.
?So at the moment he is hungry and as long as he keeps that positive attitude and keeps working hard then positive things will come.?
On Friday Bermuda will come up against a new-look USA team on a grassy wicket they have yet to play on in three matches at King City so far.
Still, Romaine is confident his team can make the required adjustment and complete the task at hand.
?We don?t have anything to fear and we should be prepared for anything they (USA) throw at us,? he added.
?It?s a new team and a new wicket that we haven?t played on, but we are ready and pretty much know what to expect.
?The stage is set just as it was in the ICC trophy when we needed one more win to qualify for the World Cup. Now we need one more win against them to be crowned champions of the Americas and so we are ready.?
l Yesterday?s headline on the front page incorrectly stated that Hasan Durham had been ?reported again? for a suspect action.
Although his bowling action had been questioned by both opposition and umpires in the past, it had never been officially reported, we apologise for the error.
