Top Island athlete Xavier James will defend his double-sprint title at tomorrow's 10th annual Aileen Meagher International Track Classic in Canada.
The 27-year-old, who swept the 100 and 200 metres at the same meet last year, will be aiming for a repeat in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
James left Bermuda yesterday as he continues building up to a series of regional and international assignments this summer: the Central American & Caribbean (CAC) Games in Grenada next week, the Pan-American Games in the Dominican Republic in August and the World University Games in Korea.
Earlier this month, he secured a sprint double at Bermuda's National Championships, winning the men's 100 metres in 10.81 seconds and the 200 in 22.6 seconds.
