Junior sailors honoured
Bermuda's young sailors were honoured for their exploits during the summer at a recent presentation.
Bank of Butterfield hosted the annual awards ceremony for the National Youth Sailing Championships at Barr's Bay Park.
The championships include the three day Junior Nationals event on August 16, 18 and 20 as well as the Grand Prix series held throughout the summer.
"On behalf of the Bank of Butterfield I would like to congratulate the winners for their accomplishments. We are pleased to support Bermuda's young people as they strive for excellence in sporting events such as these," said Ed Benevides, vice-president of E-Commerce at the bank.
Tim Patton, president of the Bermuda Sailing Association, and Lee White, one of the Island's Olympic sailors, also took part in the ceremony, which followed several junior national races in the Great Sound.
