Juniors look to repeat in Chicago
Twenty two members of the Tri-Hedz Junior Triathlon Club, aged from eight to 14, travel to Chicago this weekend to compete in the McDonald's Kids Triathlon - part of the world's largest triathlon event attracting more than 6,000 participants.
The Bermuda team dominated the junior event last year, taking first place in five age categories and they hope to continue their winning ways when the races get underway on Saturday. The eight to 10-year-olds will swim 100 metres in Lake Michigan followed by a four kilometre bike race and one kilometre run along Chicago's downtown lakefront.
The 11 to 14-year-olds will race over double those distances.
Nine senior triathletes accompanying the children are scheduled to compete in the sprint distance triathlon that takes place the following day.
