Christian Luthi, Husayn Brown and Allan Frith took respective class honours when 23 boats took to the water in three classes for the start of the Frostbite Series in Hamilton Harbour on the weekend.

This year's series has seen the Byte and 420 classes join the Lasers for the first time, making it one of the best attended Frostbite regattas.

In the Lasers, Luthi dominated, winning five of six races with Pan-Am Games medallists Malcolm Smith and Sara Lane Wright taking second and third respectively.

Junior Husayn Brown led the Byte class with three firsts, two seconds and a third, with Dick Tulloch second and Marion Watlington third.

Another junior, Allan Frith, led the 420 class ahead of Carola Cooper. Racing continues every Sunday (1.00 p.m.) until the end of February.
