Meyer and Global to sell tickets
Official travel agents for the 2007 World Cup were announced yesterday and the Bermuda Cricket Board are delighted that the cricket-loving public will have plenty of options in booking their trips to the sporting spectacular.
Meyer-Franklin Travel, working with Global Travel as a sub-agent, are licensed to sell World Cup tickets and packages as are C Travel, who chose to publicise their own involvement ahead of yesterday?s official announcement.
?This is an exciting time for Bermuda cricket,? said BCB president Reggie Pearman.
?We are pleased that the public will have two different avenues to get their tickets for the event and we hope that as many as possible will take the opportunity to come out and support Bermuda in this tournament.
?I know I can speak for the players when I say that we would love to see as many as possible down there supporting us and they appreciate all the support they are getting.?
Pearman added that they were pleased to see Global Travel involved in the World Cup ticketing process.
?We have worked with them during a very busy time for Bermuda cricket where there have been a large number of overseas tours and they have been nothing but helpful and professional in all their dealings with us.?
Cheryl Hayward-Chew, vice president of corporate development and travel, added: ??The Meyer-Franklin Travel Team is excited to announce our appointment as an Official Travel Agent for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007.
?Further, we are pleased to announce that Global Travel will be acting as a sub-agent of Meyer-Franklin Travel. Both Meyer-Franklin Travel and Global Travel are looking forward to providing quality travel packages to all Bermuda residents.?
Further information will be forthcoming from Meyer-Franklin Travel and Global Travel on travel packages and charters.
