Morgan and Stovell spell double trouble
PHC 142 and 131
Social Club 258-4
A whirlwind 204 by Glenn Blakeney inspired Social Club to an innings victory at Devonshire Rec. in a game that saw just one day?s play ? PHC refusing to show up on Sunday after Social Club required just 15 runs to win the game.
PHC, who played with 10 men, managed 142 in their first innings with Arthur Richards scoring 61, opener Gerald Simons 22 and Kenny Mills 14. Jameiko Marshall led Social in bowling with six for 40 off 10 overs.
But if PHC were on a high after their promising batting display, they were quickly brought down to earth by Blakeney who joined his opening partner Dano Outerbridge (36) in a stand worth 191, Blakeney by far the dominant batsman.
The former St. David?s star struck 15 sixes and 17 fours off 106 balls while Outerbridge hit three sixes and two fours.
Gerald Bean led PHC?s bowling with three for 28 off seven overs.
Batting a second time PHC were well served by opener Kenny Mills who contributed 81 while Richards finished not out on 11. Skipper Charlie Marshall took two for 14 off eight overs while Charles Warren had two for 19 off three overs.
