Outerbridge makes his mark
Former Paget Lions striker David Outerbridge is making his mark in the US, having recently been selected for the All Conference team to represent the Hudson Valley NCAA division.
Outerbridge, currently in his first year abroad, is studying Arts in Media at SUNY Purchase College in New York.
He featured prominently for his team during the regular season, tallying seven goals to help the Purchase Panthers to a top three finish and also a berth in the play-offs.
The promising youngster is the son of unsuccessful Smith's South NLP candidate Graeme Outerbridge, himself a former Wolves stalwart, and the twin brother of current Wolves and former Bermuda Under-23 international midfielder Adam.
David has since transferred from Paget and headed west to the Somerset Trojans camp, where he has yet to play because of his studies overseas.
"It's been a fairly good season for us, we made it into the play-offs although we were knocked out in the first round. I have settled into the team reasonably well and have enjoyed playing against other talented players in our division," said Outerbridge.
When asked about the possibility of playing locally over the Christmas break, he replied: "Hopefully they (Somerset) will be participating during the holiday competition (Dudley Eve) and maybe I can be a part of the team when I return home."
