Enjoying arguably their best-ever day in first class cricket, Bermuda roared back into this four-day Intercontinental Cup match with an impressive performance with both bat and ball at the L.C.DeVilliers Oval in Pretoria today.

Driven by an unbeaten 61 from opener Stephen Outerbridge, his highest international score outside one-day cricket, Bermuda ended the day on 128 for two, 250 runs behind Holland's first innings score and in solid position to surpass the

follow-on target of 239.

Outerbridge, who smashed 19 off the first three overs in a lightning early reply, combined with Kwame Tucker (33) in a record Bermuda opening partnership of 105. Bermuda's previous highest in first class cricket was 41 between Outerbridge and Delyone Borden against Canada in Toronto last summer.

Earlier spinner Dwayne Leverock completed a marathon 47 overs to finish with three for 119 while his fellow spinner Rodney Trott picked up an impressive three for 47 off 18.1 overs on his senior international debut.

On a track offering little assistance, Bermuda's bowlers combined to snap up Holland's last seven wickets for 143 runs.
