Dwayne Pearman continued his relentless charge towards the Bermuda Professional Golfers' Association Championship yesterday, stretching his lead to 13 shots with one round to go.
Pearman, who carded 73 and 78 after the opening two rounds at Tucker's Point, followed that up with a 76 for a 227 total as the tournament switched to Mid Ocean Club yesterday.
Bentley Gibbons, who had been Pearman's nearest rival, slipped down the leaderboard after he entered the clubhouse with an 84 yesterday. That gave him a three round total of 242, enabling Derrick Douglas to move up to second after he shot 79 for 240.
Brian Morris (80-81-84) is fourth on 243, while Chris Smith (78-81-87) is fifth on 246.
The final round is being held today.
