Pitcher pair run riot
Social Club 139, 129
St. David's 327-5
Arthur Pitcher jr and brother Justin provided a huge headache for the Social Club bowlers in this Two-Day First Division game at Devonshire Rec. over the weekend as they spearheaded St. David's to an emphatic innings and 59-run victory.
The pair proved inseparable with Arthur slamming an undefeated 100 and Justin following closely behind on 97 not out when the Islanders' allotted overs ran out.
Off the two, Justin was more brutal as he finished with 10 sixes and six fours while Arthur struck six sixes and six fours.
Social Club had batted first with Winston Simmons leading the way with 42 in a total of 139.
Delyone Borden's spin earned him startling figures of seven wickets for 57 runs off 18 overs of which four were maidens.
After the convincing response by St. David's, Social Club faced an uphill battle in their second innings as they struggled to 129 all out in 42.5 overs.
Nakia Smith was top bat on 34 while Dano Outerbridge struck 27.
Mackie Crane snatched some of the limelight from his batsmen as he claimed a hat-trick in his haul of four wickets for 12 runs from 10 overs, which included four maidens.
Somerset CC 195, 12-1

At Lord's, visitors Somerset CC cruised to a nine-wicket Third Division victory over Flatts who managed to make something of a fightback second time around having been bundled out for just 50 in the first innings.
Batting first, the West Enders reached a respectable total of 195 with Jacobi Robinson top scoring on 52 and Tony Cheeseman following with 47. Dean Smith was the pick of the Flatts bowlers with three for 19.
