Three minutes later, captain Gary Tavares netted again for Upstarts on a short corner routine, allowing them to go into the break with a one-goal advantage.
The teams continued to play at an even pace in the second half with neither side breaking away until Lloyd Hopkins finally found the back of the net on a short corner in the 59th minute.
Steve Simmons then converted an open play goal minutes later to put the match away, 3-2.

Horan grabbed an early goal for Panthers and followed up with his second nine minutes later.
Rebels found a reply from a short corner which was successfully put away by Andrew Travis to close the first half just one goal in arrears.
But Horan had more fire on his stick, and soon nabbed his third goal from a short corner.
