Rested and ready to go again
Ten days off and I am feeling much better.
It was a long season and I was starting to feel really fatigued. My hamstrings were getting tighter and I thought they might even go.
But it was absolute rest for me after our season with Reading was over and a chance to relax and spend some time with the family.
Apart from a run on Sunday, I haven't done anything physical at all and that has been just what I needed.
It's been great for my body to get this 100 percent rest, every player needs it at the end of the season - whatever age they are.
I got back to Bermuda on Saturday and spent a great May 24 down on Front Street with the family, watching the parade and taking in the sun rays.
It is nice to be home and to see a few familiar faces and old friends to chat with. As well as a physical rest for my body I took a conversation rest from football as well, on May 24 mostly we talked about May 24 with only one or two people talking to me about football.
But I started again at training last night - it is always a pleasure to play the game and it was good to get back into it.
You don't lose a lot of fitness in ten days so I am feeling ready to get going again and we only have about ten days before the final warm up game against the Manchester City Youth Academy team.
Then a week after that it is down to El Salvador for the big game and then a week later the return match.
Ten days after that I am back at Reading for pre-season training - that's a pretty short summer for me.
The El Salvador game is only around the corner, so we are going to be training hard as a national team. It is a very big game but the lads have had some great preparation with the number of games that have been played.
Going down on tour to Central America will help everyone get a taste of what it is going to be like down there when we go to El Salvador and we will be well prepared for what is a very big game for us.
The mood is pretty positive with everyone and we just have to get out there and show what we can do.

I have been resting my body but I have been pretty busy working on getting everything into place for the Grassroots Soccer Festival.
Any programme that benefits football on the Island is welcome and it is something that means a lot to me.
It is something that I have worked hard on over the years and it is important for me to give something back to the community and try and spread the word of football and give youngsters opportunities that I wish I had had when I was that age.
What I am bringing to Bermuda is something that is unique - because it is free.
Normally when something is free you ask ‘what is the catch?', but there is no catch with this. It is just a chance for the youngsters in Bermuda to enjoy playing the beautiful game.
