Mark Ray, the 1998 Cup Match MVP who was involved in a road traffic accident on Friday, has been flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Washington, DC, for further observation.

A friend close to the family disclosed yesterday that Ray, who was included recently in the national cricket team to train for the Americas Cup in Argentina, was in good spirits. There is, though, a fear that he may have suffered short-term memory loss.

The family is said to have to accompanied the 32-year-old whose sporting credentials include soccer, with Wolves Sports Club, and a hockey career that reached international level.
