Season kick-off soon
Soccer comes to the fore from next month with a busy schedule of matches beginning on September 6 with the Charity Cup for both men and women.
The men's clash will see Premier Division Champions North Village taking on FA Cup winners Devonshire Colts at BAA at 8 p.m., while the women's match-up will have league champions Rude Girls meeting FA Cup winners Hemisphere Royals at the same venue at 6 p.m.
The month will also see several Martonmere Cup double-headers played - the competition which brings in the most cash for the Bermuda Football Association's coffers.
There will be a total of three double-headers with each taking place at BAA under lights on Saturday nights, starting on September 13 with Devonshire Colts meeting Boulevard at 7 p.m. and Somerset Eagles taking on Devonshire Cougars at 9 p.m.
The rest are as follows: September 20 - Dandy Town v Somerset Eagles, 7 p.m.; North Village v Devonshire Colts, 9 p.m.; September 27 - Boulevard v North Village, 7 p.m.; Devonshire Cougars v Dandy Town, 9 p.m.
The BFA has scheduled a women's sevens tournament at Gym Field, Prospect on Sunday, September 21 starting at 12.30 p.m. and a contest involving a BFA Select against a Referee's Select at BAA on September 14 starting at 7 p.m.
