Wolves survived a late Social Club revival to advance in the First Division Shield competition at the Den on Tuesday night.

Goals either side of the half from Tariq Hill (second minute), Hobte Burrows (45th) and Vince Minors saw Wolves storm out to what appeared to be a commanding 3-0 lead.

Yet Social Club refused to roll over and play dead.

The Bluebirds thrust themselves right back in the mix after Eric Dunkley netted with clinical precision in the 64th and 75th minutes.

Social Club?s last gasp heroics, though, proved too little too late as Wolves held out to the final whistle.
