Western Stars avenged an earlier season loss to Warwick at Southampton Oval.

Stars piled up 235 for eight in their allotted 50 overs, and then mowed their hosts down for a paltry total.

Maurice Lowe helped himself to another half century, scoring 61 runs to top the Stars batting while national team pair Hasan Durham (51) and Saleem Mukuddem (49) kept the scoreboard ticking over, and Warwick toiling in the field.

Veteran all-rounder Quinton Burch led the Warwick bowling with three for 46.

In reply, Warwick were skittled out cheaply with only Clarkie Trott (13) offering any real resistance.

Kiwi medium pacer Matthew Clarke proved to be the chief catalyst of Warwick?s undoing as he claimed four for 38 while Mukuddem finished with two wickets for 32 runs off eight overs.
