Dear Sir,

Dan Rutstein writes ?Hemp goes home happy with progress?.

Well, Mr. Rutstein this may be in your circle of friends but in my circle ? which includes current and former Bermuda international players ? we believe Hemp should stay ?home?.

Having qualified for the 2007 World Cup without Hemp, the Bermuda Cricket Board see fit to create a position for him that will also enable him to be eligible to play for Bermuda in 2007 ? before he returns ?home?.

We believe the best talent available in Bermuda should be given the opportunity to represent Bermuda in 2007 because then the experience will remain with us forever.

But Hemp will return ?home? and will no longer be here to pass any knowledge on to up and coming Bermuda cricketers. The article did not reflect Dan Rutstein?s opinion, it was merely based on an interview with David Hemp, who is neither friend nor enemy of but simply a cricketer entitled to play for the Bermuda national team.
