Former St.George?s Cricket Club president Mansfield (Bojangles) Smith suffered a mild heart attack at his Slip Road residence last week, and is now said to be resting comfortably at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
Smith, father of national cricket team skipper Clay Smith, is a founding member and former goalkeeper of Wellington Rovers Football Club.
He served for many years on the Bermuda Football League and Bermuda Football Union executive, and is also a founding member of the Bermuda Table Tennis Association.
Smith was active at St.George?s Cricket Club as head groundsman before deteriorating health forced him to resign in 2002.
