Hamilton Parish 1 Paget 0

A late goal by substitute Lorenzo Simons enabled Parish to come away with maximum points from this First Division clash at Lord's yesterday.

But it was an awfully hard struggle for the league leaders.

Just when it looked as if the teams would share the spoils from what had been an uninspiring game, the speedy Simons finished off a Parish counter attack by slamming the ball home from close range with just two minutes left on the referee's watch.

Paget, firm underdogs, were unlucky to have had the game stolen from them at the end after matching their opponents for the majority of the game and often looking capable of snatching the winner with several attacks on Parish's goal in the second half.

Seventh in the table, Paget could direct their anger for failing towards forward David Hunt who came on as a substitute only to be sent off by referee Andre Manders for rough play after 78 minutes as he grabbed a defender from behind attempting to clear the ball upfield. Hunt had already been booked.

Parish hold on to their commanding six-point lead at the top of the division but are going to have to play much better than this if they are to make any impact in the Premier Division next season.

Coach Neil Robinson made a appearance, playing the entire 90 minutes, but like many of his players was never able to contribute towards raising the team's overall level of play.

With Aaron Anderson solid in Paget's defence and in midfield and Duane Hurdle, Nathan Simons, Aaron Anderson and Kevin Tucker spearheading many raids, Parish's back-line were forced into a lot of defending in the second half.

After 70 minutes Tucker was unlucky when his curling corner was cleared off the goal-line by Chris Caisey Jr.

Southampton Rangers 2 St. David's 1

Southampton kept their promotion hopes alive with this slim victory on a day they should have won by a far more convincing margin.

Rangers hold onto second place in the division but they had to come from behind to capture the points, trailing 1-0 after 19 minutes when Greg Outerbridge gave the visitors the lead.

However, Donnie Charles grabbed the equaliser for the home side and then an own goal by Worrell Bean after 51 minutes put an end to any further challenge by St. David's who are second from the bottom.

Rangers may have struggled to score but they were in full command and should have won by as many as six clear goals.

St. George's 4 Prospect 1

Prospect's promotion hopes took a dive with this sound defeat at Lord's.

They played without several key players and even attempted to get the game postponed.

However, while their makeshift team remained competitive for a while they eventually folded under constant pressure from the east-enders.

St. George's led 2-0 at the half on goals by Ernest Signor and Sinclair Smith and although Leroy Mathurin pulled one back for Prospect, the result was sealed when Smith scored again and Dell Tyrrell netted the fourth goal right at the end.

Social Club 1 Wolves 2

Last-placed Social Club made middle-of-the-table Wolves fight hard to earn maximum points from this clash at Bernard Park.

In the end Wolves emerged deserved winners with both goals coming from Jared Peniston, the first after 28 minutes and the second eight minutes after the interval to put them ahead 2-0.

Social Club were finally rewarded for their efforts after 73 minutes when Sherwin Jennings made good his spot kick, but they were unable to find the target again.
