Team into final

Bermuda's domination of the Caribbean Squash Championships continued apace yesterday when the Island team inflicted a 5-0 whitewash on hosts Barbados.

The team of James Stout, Nick Kyme, Tommy Sherratt, Sam Stevens and Gary Plumstead are through to the final where they will face Guyana.

Yesterday, the Bajans were no match for the Bermudians, all five players winning their matches without dropping a game.

Sherratt was on first against Marlon White, beating him 10-9, 9-0, 9-1. John Cumberbatch was next up for James Stout, the latter winning 9-1, 9-1, 9-0 and Plumstead saw off Andy Gill 9-0, 9-0, 9-3.

Stevens then went on court and sent Rhett Cumberbatch packing, 9-1, 9-0, 9-1, before Kyme wrapped up the victory with a win over Shawn Simpson 9-7, 9-0, 9-3.
