Andrew Trott is poised to clinch his first-ever Bermuda Professional Golfers' Association crown as he takes a seven shot lead into the final round of the championships at Port Royal today.
As players were confronted with high winds for a third successive day, it was Tucker's Point pro Trott and Brian Morris of Belmont Hills who fared best with five-over-par rounds of 76.
Only one other player in the field, Mid Ocean Club's Chris Garland (79) managed to break 80.
Trott now stands on 325, seven clear of veteran home course pro Frankie Rabain who could manage only an 81 yesterday. Morris is a further four shots adrift on 236.
Forecasts call for another windy day today as the tournament, sponsored by International Fixed Odds, draws to a close.
