Teenager Wayne Ball jr claimed three wickets for nine runs off 3.5 overs to lead Somerset to this four-wicket victory at Somerset.

Mediuim-pacer Ball teamed up with opening bowlers Wendell White and Kenny Maybury to take seven wickets, White finishing with two for nine off six overs with two maidens while Maybury had two for 28 off four overs with a maiden.

Flatts? fragile batting saw just three players reach double figures with Nelson Bascome jr top scoring with 18, opener and skipper Derek Wright striking 12 and Rahji Edness making 10.

Despite losing opener Cheeseman without a run scored, Somerset recovered to reach their winning target comfortably. Opener John Woolnough struck 14, White 14 not out and Azim Pitcher 11 to lead their batting.

Kiwan Franks was the pick of the Flatts bowlers with three for 10 off four overs.

Wet pitches forced two other games to be postponed yesterday. At White Hill PHC were scheduled to meet Somerset Bridge while at St. John?s field Western Stars were to have played Warwick.
