Tyler Butterfield continues to make his mark among some of the best young cyclists in Europe.

Over the weekend, the young Bermudian competed in the prestigious Paris Roubaix Race, known as one the toughest events on the calendar and nicknamed ?Hell of the North?.

And in a field packed with some of Europe?s brightest talent, the Vendee U team member finished in 54th position, just five minutes and 40 seconds behind the winner, Russia?s Dimitriy Kozontchuk.

Rabbobank rider Kozontchuk finished in four hours, 44 minutes and 31 seconds, one minute 23 seconds ahead of Dutch national team rider Johnny Hoogerland while Belgium?s Dries Van Der Ginst was third.

Meanwhile, Julia Hawley continues to enjoy success in England, placing seventh overall over the weekend in the Bedford Women?s Three-Day Stage Race, an event which attracted a number of international riders.

Fresh from a top five finish in the recent Mendip Hills Race in the west of England, and a strong performance as the only finishing female in last week?s Sinclair Packwood Memorial Race in Bermuda, Hawley looked on top form in the third of the four-stage event, a 9.7 kilometre time trial, when she placed 10th in 14 minutes and 15 seconds, just over a minute behind winner Anna Zugno of Italy.

Noted Scottish time trialist Katrina Hair placed second in 13.38.

The fourth and final stage of the race, a 75 kilometre ride from Bolnhurst to Colmworth over mostly flat terrain, saw Hawley, riding for the BCF Central Division team, finish with the main pack in 20th position, to cement her overall place of seventh, just one minute and 20 seconds behind overall winner Zugno.
