Watchdog to keep a close eye on Gov't sports grants

Eager to establish a Hall of Fame.
A watchdog is to be brought in to monitor how Government cash is used by Island sporting organisations.
Sports Minister Randy Horton told the annual sports conference at Bermuda College that Government would be taking on a full-time sports development officer to work within the soon to be established National Sport Governing Body Consulting and Advisory Service.
Horton said the officer would have a number of responsibilities including:
Developing long and short-term plans and identifying the outcomes.
Evaluating programmes.
Ensuring that programme goals and objective
