Bermudians who plan to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements for the World Cup will be able to apply for tickets online, tournament organisers revealed yesterday.

As of May 1, all those not intending to book their flights and hotels through Bermuda?s two official World Cup travel agents ? Meyer Travel, in conjunction with Global Travel and C Travel ? can apply for tickets at www.cricketworldcup.com.

Although C Travel insisted two days ago that match tickets could only be purchased with an ?attachment? ? a hotel, flight or transfer to the ground ? this is in fact not the case, World Cup organisers confirmed yesterday.

The Bermuda Cricket Board have already expressed their hope that as many locals as possible will make the journey south to support the national team at the biggest tournament in which the Island has ever been involved.
