Bromby moves up in Miami
Peter Bromby’s 2008 Olympic bid gathered some momentum at the Rolex Miami Olympic Class Regatta in Florida yesterday.
After getting off to a slow start during the first day of the week-long regatta on Monday, Bromby rebounded by finishing 11th in yesterday’s third race in the Star Class to climb nine spots up the leaderboard to 41st place among the 67-strong racing fleet.
Laser skipper Brett Wright also moved up the leaderboard in his class.
Pan-Am Games bound Wright finished 28th during yesterday’s third race to move two places up to 61st position among the 106-boat fleet.
Laser Radial skippers Sara Lane Adderley and Katrina Williams are currently placed in 41st and 46th positions respectively among a fleet of 69 after two days of competition.
The regatta continues today in Biscayne Bay, Florida.
