'I don't expect any hugs and kisses at United' says Keane

LONDON (AP) — Sunderland coach Roy Keane is not expecting a warm welcome when he returns to former club Manchester United on Saturday.

United are already five points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea after four games of the season.

"I'm not expecting hugs and kisses," Keane said yesterday. "Alex Ferguson will want to beat me and Sunderland as much as anyone else."

Keane spent 12 years at United being tutored by Ferguson, and despite winning seven Premier League titles and four FA Cups from 1993-2005, is ready for a hostile atmosphere.

"They will be going at us from the first minute, trying to get points," Keane said. "There won't be a red carpet rolled out for me. We will try to approach it in the same way as any other game."

United are 10th in the table with five points after picking up their first win of the season last Saturday against Tottenham. Sunderland are 16th with four points and on a three-game losing streak.

Keane has just marked his first year as a manager and Ferguson believes his future is bright.

"Some people can't make decisions," Ferguson said. "Roy can. He is a good decision maker."

Ferguson also said Keane, a tough-tackling and fiery midfielder, was his best investment in 21 years of managing United.

"I always felt there was a bit of myself in Roy," Ferguson said. "He did not have the ability of someone like Eric Cantona or Ryan Giggs or Paul Scholes but he had this fire in his stomach which gets them there.

"He was not the quickest player but he was always first to the ball. In terms of sheer influence, he was the best player I have ever had."

Chelsea lead the standings with 10 points, followed by Manchester City with nine and Wigan, Liverpool, Everton and Arsenal with seven.

Also Saturday, it's: Fulham v Tottenham; Reading v West Ham; Newcastle v Wigan; Middlesbrough v Birmingham; and Liverpool v Derby.

On Sunday, Arsenal host Portsmouth, Manchester City are at Blackburn and Chelsea visit Aston Villa.

Chelsea have not won at Aston Villa since March 1999.

Villa Park is the only Premier League ground where Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has failed to win since he arrived in 2004,
