It's as you were for sailor Bromby

After six races in the Star Class at the Rolex Miami Olympic Class Regatta in Biscayne Bay, Florida, Bermuda's Peter Bromby and crew Bill McNiven remained in 17th place yesterday.

Bromby, who has 48 points, finished 12th in the only Gold Division race to keep his hopes of medalling very much alive.

Sweden's Fredrik Loof currently leads the Star Class in which Bromby is bidding to compete in during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

However, it was a different story yet again for Bermuda's sole Laser entry in the regatta, Bret Wright, who continued his free fall in the standings.

Wright (170 points) slipped from 77th to 80th yesterday after posting 39th and 49th finishes. Australian Michael Blackburn leads the Laser fleet with 13 points.

In contrast, female Laser Radial skippers Sara Jane Adderley and Katrina Williams continued their steady ascent up the leaderboard.

Adderley moved from 38th to 35th position while Williams climbed from 48th to 45th yesterday.

American Anna Tunnicliffe currently tops the Laser Radial class with ten points.
