Khano's Revs burnt by Fire

Bermuda's Khano Smith played a full game but his New England Revolution side went down 2-1 to Chicago Fire in the MLS on Saturday night.

Smith saw a good effort tipped away for a corner early on before New England took the lead in the 24th minute through Jeff Larentowicz's goal

But Chris Rolfe tied it up just before half-time after a pass from Chad Barrett.

And then Barrett himself scored in the 60th minute, beating Matt Reis after the goalkeeper blocked Paulo Wanchope's shot. It was Barrett's seventh goal of the season.

The Fire improved to 9-10-9, and the Revolution fell to 14-7-7.

Chicago coach Juan Carlos Osorio missed the game after receiving a red card last week in a game against Chivas USA.

Smith helped the Revs win the US Open Cup - the franchise's first major trophy - in midweek.
