Meshach eying another move?
Reports have now reached The Royal Gazette suggesting Hamilton Parish player/coach Meshach Wade is not happy at his new club.
The former Hereford United footballer, who could not be reached for comment yesterday, transfered during the off-season to First Division Hot Peppers after lifting Dudley Eve and Friendship Trophy titles with Somerset Trojans last season.
But his time at Parish could turn out to be a short one as the former national team skipper — who captained his country to a famous 2-1 victory over a Jamaica Under-23 at the National Sports Centre five years ago — is now understood to have become disillusioned in his new dual role at the Crawl Hill club.
Yet amid mounting speculation over Wade's future at the club, Parish manager Joe Lathan yesterday painted a different picture.
He said: "Meshach attended our practice session on Sunday and seems content in his new position.
"And as far as I am concerned he is still coaching at Parish because he hasn't mentioned anything otherwise to me.
"But I guess anything can happen with Meshach."
After enjoying a successful stint playing indoor football in the US, Wade has been constantly on the move, having signed with the likes of Southampton Rangers, Boulevard, Trojans and now Parish in the past few seasons
Meanwhile, The Royal Gazette can confirm that former Dandy Town sweeper Troy (Tortoise) Durham is making a comeback this season with First Division X Roads Warriors after having a lengthy Bermuda Football Association (BFA) imposed ban lifted.
It has also been confirmed that former Devonshire Cougars coach Andrew Bascome has officially broken ties with the current Premier Division champions and is now close to inking a new coaching deal at First Division outfit St. David's Warriors.
Bascome coached the Big Cats to a first Premier Division championship and Friendship Trophy title in 2004-05.
