Parish lift First Division title
Hamilton Parish have been crowned First Division champions following their 2-1 victory over X-Roads at Garrison Field yesterday.
Southampton Rangers who beat Young Men's Social Club 5-2 will now join the Hot Peppers, who were presented with their trophy by BFA president Larry Mussenden, in the Premier Division next season.
Parish took the lead through Kaiya Darrell early in the first half, but Jason Anderson equalised for X-Roads in the second period from the penalty spot. Darrell then put Parish ahead.
At Bernard Park, Rangers battered YMSC with goals from Kamen Tucker (2), Thomas Brown and Jermaine Dill (2). Andrew Samuels and Michael Smith scored for YMSC.
Elsewhere, Somerset Eagles hammered hapless Paget Lions 13-1 with five goals from national team assistant coach Kenny Thompson. Wolves beat Prospect 6-1 and St. David's won against St.George's Colts 1-0.
In the Premier Division, title challengers North Village Rams beat Ireland Rangers 7-3 at Malabar, while Devenshire Colts secured top-flight status with a 3-2 win over Boulevard.
North Village Lady Rams secured their first ever Women's Division Championship after drawing 1-1 with second-placed Dandy Stars at Bernard Park.
Staggeringly the Rams, previously known as The Royals, have gone the entire season undefeated
Eden Smith scored for Rams while Jessica Furtado replied for Stars.
Rams skipper Shelly Leman said: "It's been a fantastic season for us to go undefeated and it's our first title as the North Village Lady Rams. We needed a point to secure the title and the players are ecstatic."
