Pearman recovering after heart op

Bermuda Cricket Board of Control president Reginald Pearman was yesterday recovering in a ward at the Heart and Vascular Centre of the Lahey Clinic, after having undergone a quadruple heart bypass surgery on Monday.

A spokesman at the facility was unable to reveal any details about the operation, other than it was a “heart procedure” and that Pearman (pictured) was well on his way to recovery.

“All I am able to tell you is that Mr. Pearman is doing well after having had an operation on Monday. He is sitting up in a chair as we speak,” she told The Royal Gazette last night. “I’m afraid I cannot reveal any more information than that. You will have to check with family members for any further news.”

Earlier in the day this newspaper learned from relatives of Pearman that he was at the Burlington, Massachusetts medical centre just outside Boston, where he had had successful quadruple heart bypass surgery.
