Perozzi in fight of her life

Bermuda's boxing darling, Teresa Perozzi, is in for the fight of her life when she steps into the ring against Russia's glamour girl boxer, Natascha Ragosina, in Germany tonight.

Ragosina, who has an unbeaten record of 16-0 with 11 knockouts, is the heavy favourite in a fight that will be televised all across Europe.

She is the current number one ranked women's super middleweight in the world while Perozzi is ranked number five.

But seven world belts will be on the line tonight.

The Russian currrently resides in Germany, embracing the country as if it were her own and in return Germany has made her the poster girl of boxing in the country.

Perozzi boasts a respectable record of her own, with six wins two losses and one draw.

"I know I am the underdog, but I am not here to listen to everyone else", said Perozzi. "I'm here to fight and win the bout.

"I'm going to bring the belts back to Bermuda when I come home."

The weigh-in was yesterday and in addition to the bout being sold out, thousands of fight fans are expected to be watching on pay-per-view when the bell sounds for the first round.

Ragosina, who holds five world championship belts, also models for magazines in the country, but Perozzi has not fallen for the innocent girl next-door image.

"I heard she has never been cut", said Perozzi. "We'll see if I can change that."

The fight has been billed as the 'Seven at one Stroke' with the winner carrying home the seven titles up for grabs.

The fight is scheduled for ten rounds for the WBA, WIBA, GBU, WBC, WBA, WIBF, WBF super middle-weight belts.
