<Bt-1z32>Trojans have chance to return to top of table

Defending champions North Village and Somerset Trojans will lock horns tomorrow at Bernard Park in the day’s top Premier Division clash.

League leaders Boulevard have had their match with winless St. David’s — originally scheduled for tonight — postponed.

Blazers hold a two-point lead over Trojans who can regain the lead they momentarily held for 24 hours last month with victory over a Reds side that has struggled in the absence of injured sweeper Kentoine Jennings.

Elsewhere, Devonshire Cougars should continue their climb in the standings as they are favoured over Lightbourne’s PHC Zebras at Southampton Oval.

The Big Cats defeated Zebras 2-0 earlier this month to clinch a second Martonmere Cup title in five-seasons.

At White Hill Field, Dandy Town should rebound from last weekend’s FA Cup thrashing at the expense of Trojans when they take to the pitch against Paget Lions.

Hornets, however, could encounter stubborn resistance from a Lions side desperate to get back on track after suffering successive defeats to Trojans and Cougars in their previous two league outings.

In First Division action, meanwhile, league leaders Ireland Rangers should continue their march back to the top flight and also protect their unbeaten record against Somerset Eagles at Malabar.

Second-placed Devonshire Colts, however, face a tricky home match against unpredictable Southampton Rangers at Police Field.

Wolves and Social Club will do battle at the Den while visiting X Roads should come away with all the spoils against Hamilton Parish at Lords.
