Bermuda's Under 19 national squad slumped to a second straight defeat in India yesterday.

The tourists' decision to bat first after winning the toss back-fired as their hosts were able to apply the brakes once openers Chris Douglas and Terryn Fray were removed.

Bermuda were skittled out for their lowest total on tour thus far, with Douglas leading the way with a 63-ball 19 while Fray scored an equally circumspect 17 off 64 deliveries before he was run out.

Bermuda's middle order under pressure saw only skipper Rodney Trott (ten), deputy Malachi Jones (12) and Dennico Hollis (14 not out) offering resistance before the tourists were eventually dismissed in the 40th over.

In reply, Maharashtra knocked off the required runs in only 10.3 overs without loss.

• Meanwhile, Glamorgan skipper David Hemp is expected to be included in Bermuda's Stanford 20/20 squad for today's match 20/20 contest with a Jamaican Development Select at the Melbourne Cricket Club ground in Jamaica.

Bermuda lost heavily to Jamaica's Stanford 20/20 squad in their tour opener at Sabina Park on Sunday, but will look to improve on that subdued performance in today's encounter.

The tourists' diluted attack was put to the sword over the weekend as Jamaica posted a formidable 244 for three in their quota of overs.

In reply, Bermuda limped to 88 for seven with the mercurial Lionel Cann (31) and St.David's team-mate Sammy Robinson (22) topping the batting.
