Sims clinic open to all
Michael Sims will be on hand this morning at Belmont Hills Golf Club to host a special golf clinic — and he’s urging the golf-loving public to come out and join in.
Bermuda’s new Nationwide Tour pro will be at the ninth tee at Belmont Hills from 11 a.m. onwards, where he will take the scores of juniors expected to be in attendance through his practice regimen, offer tips for improvement as well as any advice to those with questions.
Though initially billed as a day for members of Belmont Hills and the Bermuda Junior Golf Association, Sims said this week that anybody would be welcome.
“I’d like as many people as possible to be there for what I hope will be a fun session,” he said.
“It was (Belmont Hills owner) Kevin Petty’s idea to put an event like this on and I was more than happy to get involved when he approached me about it. Obviously it’s a great opportunity to help out the BJGA, but I want to emphasis that the event is open to the general public and anybody who wants to come down and watch can do so.”
