<Bz33>Slaughter at St. John's!
Dandy Town 11
Paget Lions 0In one of the most one-sided results in senior football for years, Dandy Town Hornets slammed in eleven goals as they ripped apart punchless, lowly Paget Lions at St. John’s Field yesterday.
Leading the onslaught in this Premier Division clash with a hat-trick apiece were Lloyd Holder and Lashun Dill while young substitute Jahron Dickinson had two strikes. Chipping in with a goal each were veteran Carlos Smith, Jared Peniston and Seyoum Tuzo.
The home team didn’t let up after the break either. They pounded home four goals in the opening half and then blew Lions out of sight when play re-started for the second by knocking in a further seven.
The goals in the opening half came from Holder after seven, ten and 38 minutes and Carlos Smith after 36 minutes. And a missed penalty by Tokia Russell after 41 minutes prevented them from going five goals up.
Second-half punishment followed quickly for the Lions as Tuzo got the inevitable fifth goal As Hornets continued to dominate, however, they almost scored at will with six more goals to follow with Dill, Dickinson and Peniston finding the mark.
