Bermuda Under-15s capitulated during "ten minutes of madness" against Trinidad and Tobago in the quarter-finals of the Caribbean Football Union Cup.

Tournament hosts Trinidad and Tobago took the wind out of Bermuda's sails, scoring four goals during ten minutes in the second-half to put the game beyond salvation.

Coach Mark Wade's men went behind in the fifth minute to a deflected free-kick, but pulled level on 46 minutes through Aaron Nelson who was the quickest to react after Troy Tucker's stinging shot was only parried by the keeper.

But the floodgates then opened to send Bermuda crashing out of the tournament, shattering their hopes of claiming the trophy.

A disappointed Wade, who coaches the youngsters with Ray Jones, lamented his side's "mental frailties", and said they had looked capable of toppling Trinidad before their self-destruction.

"To be honest we played some of our best football of the tournament and there didn't seem much between the teams until our ten minutes of madness," he said.

"They scored four goals during that time which is very frustrating for us as we never really looked out of the game.

"Trinidad are a good team but I don't think the score-line was a fair reflection of the game. But it shows we are mentally frail at times and we will be talking to players about addressing that.

"They're disappointed but sometimes you have to remember we're dealing with 15-years-old and not seasoned professionals.

"Last year we didn't get past the first round of this competition so reaching the quarter-finals is a sign of progression."

The youngsters got their campaign off to a fine start with a 3-0 win against St.Kitts with Dante Leverock scoring twice and Troy Tucker also on target.

They then followed up with a 2-1 win over St. Vincent with Leverock scoring twice, and a 3-0 win against Suriname with Zeiko Lewis bagging a brace and Anthony Hunter also finding the net.
