CRICKET CRI Eastern Counties Cup holders Bailey's Bay will open their defence against Flatts Victoria on July 16 at Sea Breeze Oval, it was announced yesterday.

Bay, who last season ended St. David's six-year reign in the prestigious competition, will fancy themselves to move into the second round against Cleveland on August 13 with St. David's drawn in the final on August 27.

The Junior Eastern Counties Cup begins on July 9 with holders St. David's taking on Cleveland in the first round. Flatts will play the winners in the second round on August 6 with Bailey's Bay awaiting in the final on August 20.

Cleveland County will hold training sessions at the Smith's Parish Community Field on Sunday at 10 a.m. and every Sunday thereafter until the season starts.
