A total of 64 boats and 291 anglers have signed up compared to 76 and 350 last year. Yet, competition promises to be fierce among previous winners such as Andrew Card's Reel Action , Allan Bean's Nothing's Easy , New Nuts owned by Bobby Lambe and defending champion Sea Wolfe piloted by Russell Young.

In the event of bad weather captains are asked to call 236-4230 between 5.00 and 8.00 a.m. on Sunday.

MOTORCYCLISTS HIT THE TOWN RAB Motorcyclists hit the town Motorcycle racing finally came to Hamilton over the weekend, although not at the Front Street locale Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club dearly wanted.

Instead the bikes had to make do with the cramped quarters at the grounds of the Transport Control Department.

All classes were represented, with the GP cycles giving the large crowd the sensation of high speed, while the scooters thrilled with their usual display of handlebar to handlebar racing.

Racing returns to the usual venue -- Southside, St. David's -- this weekend, with spectators reminded to enter via the gate adjacent to the boat yard.
