At a Bermuda Golf Association meeting on Wednesday night, it was agreed that an invitation from the Australian Golf Union for two Island players to take part in the events would be accepted.
The first tournament is the Centenary International Amateur Team event from March 11-13, followed by the Centenary International Amateur Championship from March 16-20. The events will be played at the Australian and Royal Sydney golf clubs in Sydney.
Entries are limited to players with handicaps of three or less.
BGA secretary Tom Smith said yesterday the Association would put up $1,000 towards the players' air fares while the host country will provide accommodation.
However, players have only until next Friday to express their interest in representing Bermuda, after which, depending on the number interested, a local qualifying event will be held.
