Blazers desperate to stop the rot
come up against Wolves in the Premier Division at Devonshire Rec tonight.
Boulevard's leaky defence has conceded 10 goals in their last two games -- 5-1 reverses against Southampton Rangers in an FA Cup replay and at Devonshire Colts last Sunday -- while Wolves were anything but friendly in their 7-0 Friendship Trophy demolition of St David's on Tuesday.
Indeed, Boulevard have not won since a league triumph over Rangers on October 10. They have played six league and cup matches in the intervening period, picking up just two draws -- a series of matches that also includes a 6-1 trouncing by defending champions Vasco.
Two other statistics that will have the Wolves strikers licking their lips in anticipation of three points are that Boulevard have conceded three hat-tricks in their trio of heavy defeats while Mark Ray and Nakia Smith got three each in the victory over St David's.
But Wolves might regret any over-confidence. Coach Dennis Brown has complained about inconsistency all season and although they were Martonmere Cup finalists, they have picked up just one league win and are a point behind Boulevard in the table.
Tonight's main game at 9.00 p.m. is preceded by a First Division match in which Devonshire Cougars could go three points clear at the top if they see off lowly St George's at 7.00 p.m.
