yesterday in the waters off Burchall's Cove, in Hamilton Parish.
While pilots bringing in the morning's cruise ships are aware of the pleasure craft's plight, they are expected to be able to steer well clear of the area in which it went down, near buoy 22 in the South Channel.
Bermuda Harbour Radio reported last night the boat sank around 3.15 p.m.
although there were no injuries or need for a rescue.
Other boaters went to the scene to assist in the recovery effort which was called off at nightfall.
