Century-makers Foggo and Tucker light up youth league
St. David's 244-2 Devonshire 72 Two outstanding batting performances highlighted play in the BF&M Under-16 cricket league last Saturday as Chris Foggo of St. David's and Kamen Tucker of Southampton both compiled impressive centuries.
Foggo hammered 141 to lead St. David's to a 172-run victory over Devonshire at Sea Breeze Oval.
The young right-hander's innings is the top performance recorded in the junior league this season, Devonshire's agony coming to an end only when he was run out.
Foggo, who on the following day played for his club's senior team in the Knockout Cup, joined Landro Minors in an opening stand worth more than 100 runs. Minors scored 53.
The innings by Foggo, who is also the team's wicketkeeper, followed that of team-mate Shannon Raynor who hammered 86 the previous week.
Also among the runs were Oliver Pitcher with 22 not out and Grayson McCallan with an unbeaten 12.
C.Trott led Devonshire in reply with 19 -- the team's only batsman in double figures.
