24-14 with John Vautour leading the way with a five-for-five night, including two doubles and five runs batted in and team-mate Scott Suddaby going four-for-five with a homer, two doubles and two runs batted in behind winning pitcher Joe Logan.

For the losers, Aleck Roberts and Patrick Cooper each went three-for-four, Roberts hitting two homers and Cooper one homer and two doubles.

Elbow Beach beat Powerscourt II 26-11 with Chris Jackson going five-for-five and Al Mackinnon four-for-five. Jackson had one homer, three doubles and four runs batted in while Mackinnon had a double and five runs batted in.

For the losers Elliott Pitcher and Tom Comer went three-for-five. Mark Conklin was the winning pitcher while Tom Comer suffered the loss.

Cooper and Lines edged Artic Penguins 20-19 with Dan Fronchak providing the batting fireworks with a four-for-five night, including two homers, a triple and seven runs batted in while team-mate Kevin Gunther went three-for-five with two runs batted in. Bryan Darby and Nick Rowse each had three hits for the losers.

Martha Fleming was the winning pitcher while Simon Tully suffered the loss.

All members of Sousa's Lawn and Design's B Division Commercial Softball League team are asked to attend a training session at Bernard Park on Sunday starting at 2 p.m.
