Devonshire Colts suffered an embarrassing home draw against last-place Ireland Rangers in an uninspiring Premier Division clash at at Police field yesterday.

And the result could have been even more devastating for Colts had Rangers' goalkeeper Ricky Tucker not fouled Alajame Zuill to lead to the equaliser from the penalty spot after 80 minutes for the hoime side in a contest that the visitors held a slight edge throughout.

Colts, third from the bottom, were hoping that maximum points against the last place club would help stabilise their fourth place position in a bid to move them further towards an impressive high finish in the tables ....but now their chances of exceeding all expectations may prove to be a real struggle based on this performance.

Although Rangers seem destined to be relegated they fought like warriors and were always in front after Lemuel Weeks gave them a 1-0 lead after 27 minutes.

Colts though fought back bravely and grabbed the equaliser through Zuill after 38 minutes, leaving the scores level at the interval.

Jonathan Bean, who was by far the best player for the visitors, restored their one-goal lead with Rangers' second after 77 minutes but just when it looked as though maximum points would leave with the westenders Tucker foolishly fouled Zuill.

What made the infringement all that more silly was that the ball was heading harmlessly over the touchline when Tucker advanced off his goaline and caught the Colts' forward in the face with a slap. Zuill responded with a good spot kick.

Colts, whose most valuable player was right back Sekai Waldron, had defender Jakio Williams sent off for violent conduct after 90 minutes but they hung on to walk away with a share of the points.
