Hansey, who played most of his league cricket with Somerset CC, made a historic debut in the mid-summer classic in 1968 when he became the oldest colt at 38.

Hansey, who played most of his league cricket with Somerset CC, made a historic debut in the mid-summer classic in 1968 when he became the oldest colt at 38.
He wound up taking 11 wickets in that game and went on to play until 1974.
Hansey also played in the Western Counties Cup competition for both Willow Cuts and Warwick, finishing with a haul of 27 wickets overall.
He was a right-arm spinner who occasionally bowled leg breaks. He was also recognised for his superb fielding at point.
His funeral will be held today in Somerset.
