Ex-greats to strut their stuff
when they compete in the annual Over-40s Veterans' Allstar soccer game at Garrison Field, St. George's tomorrow, starting at 3.15 p.m.
Strutting their stuff in the fund-raising endeavour for the match-up between Somerset and St. George's old boys will be such renowned players as former Somerset Trojans and West Ham United striker Clyde Best and Richard (Dirt) Simmons and Noel (Sub) Smith and David (Goat) Brangman of St. George's along with many other greats of the past who performed at high levels during the 60s and 70s. The teams will be battling for a trophy donated by Mr. and Mrs. R.D.

All of the proceeds from this year's clash will go towards the medical bill of former Wellington Rovers' midfielder Leroy (Buddy) Williams.
One main feature of the day's activity, in addition to the normal prize presentations, will be the honouring of former soccer legends -- players who graced Bermuda grounds during the 40s, 50s and 60s combined with other individuals who made an impact to the sport at an administrative level.
Those being honoured this year are: Sidney (Slim) Mouchette, Kenneth Simmons, Aubrey Phillip and Kenneth (Chickty) Philpott of Somerset and Howard Burgess, Leroy (Tubby) Richardson, Arnold (Bosun) Caisey and Leslie (Roy) Steede Sr. of St. George's.
